Country legend Loretta Lynn has passed away at the age of 90, the Associated Press reports.

"Our precious mother, Loretta Lynn, passed away this morning, October 4, peacefully in her sleep at home at her lovely farm in Hurricane Mills," the family said in a statement released to the AP.

No other information on the memorial was shared. Lynn's last post on social media was two days ago where she shared a Bible verse.

Lynn won three Grammys and eight Country Music Association Awards. She also became the first female artist to win the Country Music Association's Entertainer of the Year award in 1972.

In addition, she was a member of the Country Music and Songwriters Hall of Fame, and received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010.
